Bali Tour Guide - Emilia Rossi

We love Bali and during our last trip we stayed at Amadea and it was through this resort that we met our tour guide – Roby. Roby is a very friendly and funny tour guide that you just have to meet next time you are in Bali. He is so wonderful that we still keep in touch with him. He has a passion for what he does and he really enjoys showing his country to tourists. He also speaks English very well and that is really helpful, especially when answering the questions about Bali.

Below are some questions we asked Roby about being a tour guide and what advice he has for fellow Australian tourists thinking of taking a holiday in Bali:

1. How long have you been a tour guide in Bali?

I have been a tour guide in Bali for 5 years.

2. What are your favourite places in Bali that you show to people?

Without a doubt the top places would have to be Ubud, Seminyak and Kintamani.

3. What is your favourite type of Balinese food?

If you visit Bali you have to try some suckling pig and crispy duck.

4. What tips do you have to give when people visit Bali?

Try taking time out from your holiday to explore the Balinese culture through a tour and make sure to try some traditional food.

5. How do people get in touch with you if they want you to be their tour guide in Bali?

6. What kind of tourists have you taken for a tour?

I have taken all sorts of tourists around Bali, mainly Australians, Asians, Brazilians and Europeans. Many of which I still keep in touch (including Emilia Rossi from Australia) 🙂
