Carnaval in Brazil is like nothing you would have seen anywhere else in the world. Thousands of tourists will flock to Rio usually towards the beginning of the year to witness this very special celebration that stops the country. Talented samba schools prepare their themes, song and intricate handmade costumes throughout the year to compete for the ultimate title. They parade their stunning Brazilian beauties, over the top enormous themed floats and talented percussion groups that get every single person around you dancing and cheering for their favourite samba. It is truly the most magnificent, spectacular party in the world!
Whilst visiting my family in Brazil, I made it a priority to experience this celebration for the first time. It made sense considering I was born in Brazil I should at least go and party day and night with the rest of the country. Below are photos taken of the majestic, highly decorative floats as well as the elaborate costumes.
