I was lucky enough to enjoy a short trip to Phuket and thought it would be perfect to write a blog post about one of the many highlights of the trip.

My first recommendation is to take a day trip to Coral Island. It will cost you approximately $35 AUD per person for a full day trip and this includes transfers to and from your resort.

Phuket has some breathtaking islands, some as close as 15 minutes by speedboat, with one of the closer Islands being Coral Island. It was small but had enough activities to be entertained for an entire day such as banana boat rides, diving and water walking.

My idea of a day trip to this island was simple. I wanted to lay on the sand relaxing. As I was spread out on one of the beach chairs we were provided, at no extra cost, with some basic snorkelling equipment, a life jacket and a simple traditional thai buffet lunch which included green curry, vegetables and fruit.

The 15 minute speed boat ride was fun however if you feel seasick than the ride will feel very bumpy, especially if you go on it on a windy day. I hope you enjoy the photos from Coral Island.
