Dress To Your Height: Rocking Pieces for a Sky High Chick!
5 May 2014 by Goochie Rossi in Feel Beautiful

All my life I have battled to find clothes that compliment and fit my six foot tall frame; I find a lot of clothing is designed for someone with my normal waist line but who is three inches shorter than me! It has taken some trial and error but I have found some winning pieces that suit a taller girl and that never go out of style!

The Maxi

Every tall girl knows that a maxi is her best friend. The long dress accentuates our best feature, our height, by creating sleek lines and complimenting the tall frame without cutting it off.  My favourite maxi at the moment:

The Tall Boot

Every Winter we see three styles of boots hit the shelves; the ankle boot, the mid boot (cowboy height) and, my personal favourite and perfect for every leggy lady, the tall shaft boot. The shaft of these boots can stop anywhere from under the knee to over the knee at thigh high level. Whether you are wearing leggings, stockings or tight jeans, a tall boot helps accent the length of the leg, keeping it looking long and slender.

The A line

An A-line dress is shaped just like its name: it is shaped like a capital A. If you imagine the bridge in the letter as your waist line, this is where an a-line dress pulls in. Then as the letter flares out at the bottom, as does the dress. Why this dress suits tall girls is because it creates a definition in the waist line, pulling the eye into it, which then in turn accentuates the length of the leg, making it look longer.
