In a world where we are bombarded with email advertising and promotions, it’s so refreshing to read an email from someone who is genuine and caring and shares something that actually enlightens my life in some way.
In this post I am going to share with you an example of an email I received recently in my inbox from the lovely Kate at Drop Dead Gorgeous Daily (DDG) as part of her Drop Dead Gorgeous Biz Break.
So what is Biz Break? Kate explains in her first issue that as a fellow online “biz” person she wants to share with us some of hers exciting finds in the hope we get as excited or at least find them just as useful as she does. Biz Break is sent out each fortnight. It’s short, easy to read and so far, from the two issues I read I have found them worthwhile.
From the first sentence you feel as if Kate is talking with you, not to you or about you. She includes some very insightful online business tips that she uses in everyday life.
I also admire how she ends the email with the following signature block:

I also might add that their Facebook is one of the most entertaining pages I follow. It’s filled with incredible fashion content that every online fashion addict should be aware of. DDG certainly sets the bar high for anything and everything to do with fashion online here in Australia through their website, social media channels and newsletters.
