I’m always open to exploring what new things the city has to offer. Most of my friends live in the suburbs, so if I’m going to invite them to come into the city, it better be for a good reason.
Escape Hunt invited a group of us to experience an evening of fun with them. They gave us the chance to become a detective by wondering through their uniquely themed rooms, finding clues that allowed us to solve a mystery.
Knowing me, I picked the most difficult room and chose 3 of my most intelligent friends to join me at the challenge. I thought we would be able to complete the obstacle by solving the mystery within the one-hour time frame.

We arrived pumped and not knowing exactly what to expect. We were greeted with warm tea and snacks to prep us up. We were assigned a helper that was perfectly dressed in a cute detective costume who welcome us to the game by explaining the rules.

The grave yard obstacle was the one we chose to tackle. I was told we were the first group ever to skip the first clue – which we needed to be able to find where the light switch was to turn it on. We were off to a pretty crappy start, wondering in the dark with our tiny flashlights thinking we would have to do the entire one hour challenge in the dark!
I don’t want to give too much away as I might spoil it, but we had several problems to solve. Once we solved one clue, it led us to the next and so forth until we solved the mystery. We completed the obstacle challenge in just over one hour – I’m sure we would have done it under the hour if we didn’t spend so much time on one of the clues.
TIP: If you find yourself spending more than 10 minutes trying to solve something, ask for help.
I loved this experience and have already been in touch with the guys at Escape Hunt to do another challenge.
To my lovely readers, I would like to let you know that this is a sponsored post.
