So my main fashion high last month was purchasing my very first Australian Vogue. It looked so pretty and it was the last copy on the shelf so it was clearly meant to be. It was love at first sight with cover girl Mia Wasikowska featuring in Vogue’s Fashion meets Art issues which is right up my street and proved a great read.
I’m so glad I caught this particular issue as I got to see the collaboration of Australian contemporary graffiti artist Anthony Lister and photographer Emma Summerton (whose work is amazing, check it out. Her images have been featured in Vogue Italia, British and American Vogue, W magazine, Dazed and Confused and many more publications) in a feature called Take It To The Streets.
The image above is one of my favourites but to be honest I love them all. They all contain such a contrast and are a far cry from all the prim and pristine fashion images we normally see. It’s refreshing to see something as raw as this that still relates to fashion and all its strings and bizarreness.
Heres a selection of the images of the feature. If you can I highly recommend you pick a copy up or give ‘Lister’s lady’ a goggle, showcasing a range of amazing designers including Channel, Dior, Prada, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and loads more. I’d love to get the chance to photograph all these!
