Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the largest indoor and first Ferrari theme park

This is an account from my brother who especially travelled to Abu Dhabi to visit Ferrari World. One of his highlights of Ferrari World was the Formula Rossa roller coaster. With a top speed of 240kms/h and an impressive acceleration of 0-100km in under 2 seconds. This is the fastest roller coaster in the world!

For those of you (that includes me) who have not visited this magnificent theme park, Ferrari World is part of the Abu Dhabi Yas Island project and is located in Abu Dhabi, 1 hour from Dubai and right at the world famous Yas Marina International F1 circuit.

Ferrari_World - Abu Dhabi — Ferrari World Theme Park – Iconic, sleek red roof inspired by the classic Ferrari body, spans 200,000 square meters carrying the largest Ferrari logo ever created. The enclosed indoor is large enough to fit several football fields.

Ferrari World Theme Park — Ferrari World map – Intricate and detailed maize listing the indoor and outdoors facilities.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix — Yas Marine Hotel is one of the main architectural features of the Yas Marine F1 Circuit. It embedies forms associated with speed, movement and geometries based on the ancient Islamic art & craft traditions.

Formula-One Circuit — Yas Marine at night- The grid shell of curvilinear forms constructed of steel and 5,800 diamond shape glass panels forming an atmospheric-like veil producing effects and spectral reflections against the sky, sea and desert landscape.
