If there’s one makeup item I can’t leave the house without, it’s mascara. Without it I feel like a panda without black circles around it’s eyes! (refer to the picture below) So I thought I would share with you my top 5, good quality but cheap mascaras. You can pick each one f these up for around $20 or cheaper and they are certainly worth the money.
1. Maybelline One by One
This mascara always seems to be the one I reach for when it comes to an everyday, natural look. It separates and coats the lashes perfectly, and it doesn’t clump at all. I try to use new mascaras but I always end up coming back to this one! It’s honestly the best mascara I’ve ever used.
2. Maybelline The Colossal
Now this one I’ve only used a couple of times because I’ve only just bought it, but so far I’ve been impressed. The shape of the brush fits the curve of my lashes, which makes it super easy to apply, and it’s a good mascara if you want volume; it also builds up nicely and holds it shape.
3. Maybelline The Falsies
I normally use this mascara if I have a smokey or dramatic eye for nights when I’m going out. It makes my lashes super long and separated, but it does go on quite thick, so I rarely use it during the daytime or without any other eye makeup.
4. Max Factor False Lash
I use this mascara when I have false lashes on (normally for dance performances) and I want to blend my normal lashes into the false ones. I love the brush head on this one because it is very similar to the Maybelline One by One mascara, except the product is a bit thicker.
5. Max Factor Clump Defy
I tend to use this mascara on my bottom lashes because the brush is so thin, or I use it on my top lashes if mascara is all that I am wearing on my eyes that day. It isn’t anything special in terms of volumizing and lengthening, but it has a really good formula and applies to the lashes with ease.
