I have a beautiful workspace to do my work. However, to make sure I work more efficiently here are a few things I do to brighten up my workstation:
1. Background music
Listening to classical music when I’m working helps me to stay focus, it also stimulates my creativity. I listen to various classical playlists available on YouTube or Pandora.
2. Staying Hydrated
It’s easy to forget to drink when your working so I always have a water bottle nearby to ensure I drink enough water throughout the day. This is my favourite water bottle at the moment because it not only looks great but it also filters my water using an innovative, biodegradable filter made from coconut and charcoal!

3. Burning a scented candle
I love beautiful and uplifting scents and enjoy having a nice scent burning in the background. I was lucky to receive a collection of hand-poured candles, designed and made in Melbourne, to use and to decorate my workstation.
Hayley Marie Candle came arrived in a very feminine gift box, finished with an elegant rose gold embossed lid. Their candles are based on aromatherapy and moods, and I received a candle from their Sleep Range, featuring a slightly floral and sweet scent combination of Musk and Lychee peony. I could easily burn this candle all day long as the smell is not overpowering.

Blackwood Soy Candles were very generous, spoiling me with seven candles! Funny enough it was their male inspired scented candle, Homme, created using soft undertones of musky amber, in a large minimalist glossy white vessel that appealed to me the most.

Tom Andri & Co’s candle is a luxurious, very fashionable candle handcrafted using a black glass vessel with a gold metallic lid. It’s presented in a stunning black and gold gift box. They sent me a fragrance that would brighten my work day made from Vanilla Bean and tantalisingly sweet notes of Frangipani. This scent would be ideal for burning during a dull grey Melbourne as the fresh citrus fragrance would brighten up my winter mood.
Lulu’s Candles offer exciting scent combinations. For example, they sent me a Black Raspberry and Vanilla scented soy candle, and I can’t stop sniffing the candle! I think it’s because of the delicious subtle candy smell that makes the aroma so addictive. Unlike other candles on the market, it comes in a smaller, sleek vessel finished with a wooden lid.
Dear readers – This post has been sponsored. The candles I write about below were generously given to me as gifts when I approached them asking to sample their candles for this blog post.
