pIt was my third time visiting Nusa Dua last month, and it wasn’t going to be my last. Nusa Dua, in Bali, is one of my favourite places to escape to and this time, I stayed at the very private and cosy, 5-star Mantra resort.
The resorts in Nusa Dua are larger and are cheaper to stay at compared to other luxury resorts in Bali. I also think that Nusa Dua is cleaner and quieter than other parts of Bali such as Seminyak and Kuta.
Nusa Dua is the ideal place to enjoy a luxurious and relaxing holiday. It’s also a great place if you need to do some work. I needed both, a vacation and a private place to work and feel inspired. Most of my days were spent exercising, lounging around as well working on my laptop on current and new projects such as the new Capriess website that we are launching soon!
Two highlights of Nusa Dua were the food and the massages; both experiences were very different to what I’ve enjoyed in other parts of Bali.
Eating out in Nusa Dua
There aren’t as many places to eat in Nusa Dua as there is in Seminyak, but you will still find some gems. For example, we stumbled across a lovely banquet service at the Novotel – a resort just down the road from The Mantra. Novotel’s banquet had a different each night and was served in their main lobby area overlooking the pool and entertainment area. We were treated to a Mexican and a Greek-themed banquet.
Price: Only $27AUD per head which includes as much food as you like.
Massages in Nusa Dua
Also conveniently located close to where we were staying was a cute little spa, tucked away from the main road, called Home Spa. I enjoyed a unique massage which involved two massage therapist for one hour. I couldn’t believe how perfectly in sync these two massage therapists were. Each person stood on either side of my body using both of their hands to massage each side. It’s a massage experience I will never forget and one I will have again next time I stay at Nusa Dua.
Price: Only $25AUD per hour.
The Mantra at Nusa Dua
I also want to share some of the things I enjoyed the most while staying at the Mantra.
- The gym facility was excellent, spread over three floors, it was open 24 hours a day.
- Their rooms were very spacious, with an enormous sized bathroom, a gorgeous coffee machine, fantastic WIFI inside and outside of the room and very fluffy big towels!
- The main pool, which was enormous, was open till late.
- The resort offered a convenient shuttle bus to Seminyak (40 minutes away) and an outdoor shopping village in Nusa Dua (20 minutes away).
- The buffet breakfast served the most delicious bacon, waffles, and crepes
Below are some photos from the resort.
Below are some of my other posts I’ve written about previous trips to Bali.
