If you’re a friend of mine you know champagne is one of my favourite things. I was lucky to have won a Instagram competition to the secret foodie party like its 1785 event.
We were told by text at 4pm on the day were the event would be held. It was held at Baroque one of my favourite venues in Melbourne which complemented the theme perfectly.
My friend and I were greeted by Maria Antoinette lookalikes, we were given a mask and a glass of Piper Heidsieck. As we walked in the guest were In great spirits, the food was flowing.
From the breathtaking champagne tower to the red velvet cupcakes to the candy buffet.
Everything was perfect and like nothing I had ever been to before. My foodie favourites were the pork sliders! YUM
Guest got right into character you actually felt like you were in a movie. It was breath taking Yes I had to use that word again!
The photo booth was lots of fun, to the pouring of the champagne to the great performance of ‘’lets dance’’ by Maria Antoinette herself.
I was honoured to have meet the brain behind secret foodies Ms Darlinghurts who was lovely and shared her passion with me. To the background history of Piper Heidsieck one of Marilyn Monroe’s favourite Champagnes.
Its definitely one of Melbourne’s and Sydney’s best kept secrets! I will definitely be going to the next.
