This website was not always a Lifestyle blog; it used to be an e-commerce site that sold jewellery handcrafted from talented designers around the world. I just can’t keep away from jewellery; so I started to design and make my collection of jewellery, which included pendants, necklaces, earrings as well as gorgeous ring bowls. My designs are sold directly through my Emilia Rossi Jewellery Etsy store as well as through selected stockists (there are currently 30 stockists in Australia and worldwide of my jewellery).
Polymer Clay for Jewellery Making
After experimenting with different materials, I decided that polymer clay was the best material to use for my jewellery because of its durability and strength. I’ve always loved combining different materials, textures, and colours together to create beautiful things. You only have to look at my abstract oil paintings to see this. In one of my paintings that I painted, I remember using sand, glitter, and paste to create some amazing textures!
Once I found my base material to use, I was confident I could bring together different materials, textures and colours to create feminine, fashionable, and minimalist jewellery pieces. Each of my pendants is shaped and sanded by hand before being finished with metallic foils and varnishes. The pendants are then suspended from either a delicate yellow-gold filled, rose-gold filled or sterling silver chain.

It’s exciting to see some of my earrings being stocked in selected boutiques. But I’m hoping my pendants and necklaces will be picked up by other high-end boutiques next month.

In the meantime, while working on my collection, I promise to keep sharing images and updates of my designs on social media with you.
