I received my shoes after placing my first order with Shoes of Prey and was impressed at the attention paid to the detail of the packaging. Below you will find photos taken of my new shoes.

I loved the texture and the feel of the paper used for my thank you note. I thought the black coloured envelope used was very classy.
I come from a design background and this means I appreciate a good quality paper stock. I remember there was a stage where I was collecting marketing materials when I visited Louis Vuitton, Bvlgari, Tiffany and Co and some other high end boutiques, just to see what type of paper they used!
I was also impressed at the little shoe shaped wax seal used to close the envelope. What a gorgeous touch.
The only comment, if any, that I had with the packaging would be the fact that the inserts were in a cheap plastic bag. I’m not saying they should be in something fancy. But it looked like these extra goodies didn’t match the rest of the look and feel of the experience. Something minor to comment on but if I had to fault anything it would be this.
After spending some time feeling and looking over the packaging I finally got to the shoes. They looked amazing and it was nice to see my creation in person. After trying them one I noticed they were gaping a bit on the insides and at the back of the heel.
I wasn’t worried because I knew I was in good hands. So after a couple of emails back and fourth I decided to send the shoes back to Shoes of Prey to have them remake the shoes. We decided to add 2mm to the height of the sides of the shoes as well as remaking them in a half a size smaller.
The customer service Shoes of Prey offer is second to none. I like the fact that they feel that I am not putting them out by having to remake the shoes. In fact they make me feel loved through out the whole customer service experience. Something no other business in Australia has ever made me feel.
I promise to update you once the shoes arrived back to me after being remade.
Update: So the shoes arrived after being remade and you can check out my final blog post outlining why I had to call it off with Shoes of Prey
