Who isn’t a sucker for chocolate. I have a soft spot for anything that has cocoa in it. I love the idea of having makeup that smells and tastes like chocolate.
I tried this eyeshadow palette by Too Faced during a one hour make-up class at Kit Cosmetics on Bourke Street. It’s presented in a gorgeous chocolate bar designed box and as soon as you open it your senses are teased with a yummy subtle chocolate scent.
The palette includes warm and cool browns, neutral and shimmery tones that are perfect for contouring, blending and highlighting your eyelid area. I use every single colour in the palette because I think their tones are perfect for light coloured eyes. The palette includes enough colour options that allow me to create different looks for day and night.
I have Mac, Nars and Bloom eye shadows and have to say the quality of the Too Faced eyeshadow colours are just as good. I use an eyeshadow primer when wearing these colours to prevent that ugly eyelid crease that happens at the end of the day. This is the eye primer that I use and swear by.
Overall I am very happy with this palette, the smell is amazing and don’t feel weird if you catch yourself in the middle of applying your makeup smelling the colours! I have dropped my palette twice on the ground and love the fact it did not break into pieces like my Mac eyeshadow palette did. So this also gets my thumbs up for durability.
