The best part of my work as a technology blogger is to try new trendy gadgets before they hit the market. There is a real need for techno-savvy people to have the latest gadget, some are just for fun and others try to improve and to simplify your life. We are all working longer hours and we like the idea that gadgets save us tons of time.
I know it is not a gadget, but I have to tell you my love story with my iPhone 5. This smartphone is my work assistant, emails, calls, social media, sleep alarm, torch, banking, agenda, lots of apps and so much more. My phone is my best working tool and I can’t function without it. Another favourite gadget, again an Apple product, is my iPad. Surprisingly it took me a while to get one. When it was launched I didn’t have a real need for one but since then I use my iPad everyday. It is generally stored on my bedside table and I always read it before going to bed. During weekends it is on my coffee table where I download the French Elle Magazine while I flick through enjoying a hot cup of tea, it’s bliss! It’s also a great ‘toy’ to browse Internet.
On the music side, quiet regularly I reviewed some high quality earphones for my blog, but I won’t talk about brands or prices. The only thing I would say: yes it’s worth it to buy earphones with noise cancellation, it will change the way you will listen to your music forever! Still for the music, I love Kaiser the music amplifier for your phone, mine is in the bathroom, simply play the music you love on your phone and place it on top of the amplifier and voila, you can now dance in the shower. Fitness and health wise, we will see more and more tracking gadgets. What is it? It can be a phone app, a necklace or a bracelet (it has to be attached to your body), and the device will calculate how many steps you do per day, how many calories you burn, you can enter manually your food intake and social media will share with your friends. It even exists now for dogs, to keep up with the health of your 4-legged friend!
Christmas is in 5 months time, and I won’t be surprised to see on the market in the coming months, more new phones, new apps and of course plenty of new gadgets.
