Being a creative person I am always doodling, sketching or drawing on things. I can’t help myself and if you are also a creative person you know exactly what I am talking about.
So during the Christmas break I decided to have some fun using oil pastels. They are cheap and very easy to use and a joy to blend the colours with. I enjoy the simplicity of using them compared to my oil paints which require a mini studio to use as I use oil painting for my larger pieces of work.
Oil pastels come in a range of different colours and brands. I purchased a mid range priced set from Faber-Castell.
I spent one afternoon designing some Christmas card and the below design was the design chosen to use for the first Emilia Rossi Christmas Greeting Card.
