This blog initially launched as an eCommerce site before transitioning to an award-winning Lifestyle and Business blog.

With close to 300 posts, I’m incredibly proud of the recognition and opportunities this blog has created over the years. It’s not only my outlet to share experience and talk about things that I’m passionate about, but it’s also a way I showcase my skills as a marketer.

Flashback to 2011

Let’s take it back to 2011! Look at those security certificate logos; remember when it was a thing to add them proudly to your homepage or footer. And don’t get me started on those social media icons; it was cool to have as many as you could. Who knew years later I’d still be dabbling with digital. Here’s a snapshot of the first Emilia Rossi site, which was initially an e-commerce store that included a blog. After noticing most of the traffic to the site was due to the blog, it made sense to redesign it as a content-only website.

Whilst the previous blog design did an ok job, it was clunky, not mobile friendly and needed a much-needed refresh. The main issues were that the Homepage (one of the most visited pages on the site) didn’t showcase my why. It also didn’t empower users to enjoy all of the exciting content I’ve created. It was outdated and needed a new look. This wasn’t unexpected, and I’m sure I will go through the same experience in several years. Gosh, imagine how much more I will know by then!
