IT BEGAN IN 2014 - while on a 6-hour road trip!

Despite having some serious online shopping skills, I couldn’t believe how much trouble I had to research and buy wedding items online. Whereas Socrates at the time was more concerned about buying a tonne of ‘wedding stuff’ and never using it again.

The problem felt real, so after returning from our road trip, we researched, got some stats, and launched the first version of Capriess.

Putting ourselves in our Buyers and Sellers shoes

And after receiving some great feedback from customers, Capriess was re-launched with a new look and feel that provides an even better buying and selling experience.

For those wanting to sell (or buy) pre-loved wedding items, I encourage you to view some of the thousands of items listed for sale, ranging from $35,000 diamond rings, to hand made wedding gowns right through to delicate table decor and other wedding decorations on Capriess.

Capriess’ Mission: To be the number one most trusted marketplace, making dream weddings more affordable for couples by connecting them with more sellers and buyers than any other marketplace.

Some of the things we’re working on

To ensure we continue only working on the most critical aspects that give our users the most benefit when using Capriess to either buy or sell second-hand wedding items, here are some things we’re improving.

For our proactive Sellers:

  • Reducing the number of pages and fields required to register and create an ad to sell a wedding-related item
  • Ability to highlight your add in more place to stand out from the crowd and attract more attention to your item for sale

For our curious Buyers:

  • An easier and faster way to contact the Seller through the site
  • Better search fields to enable you to enjoy a more pleasant shopping experience when viewing the thousands of items listed for sale on Capriess
