If you purchase from Louis Vuitton you experience an exceptional level of service. One of the perks includes being exclusively invited to preview their latest collections. The collection was launched as part of a High Tea hosted at the Louis Vuitton Crown Melbourne boutique. On this occasion I was not able to attend so I sent my fashionable girlfriend Mai, who is a Fashion Designer, to the event.
Upon arrival guests were treated to a sparking glass of champagne and enjoyed some tasty hors d’oeuvres while the Louis Vuitton’s staff showcased the latest collection to each guest.
The new designs included handbags, sunglasses, scarfs and jewellery. This season’s colours were refreshing and included 3 different shades of pink as well as bright yellows and denim blue. There was a big contrast between the seasonal pieces and the neutral classics, not just by the use of bright colours but also with the shapes, logos and details.
Mai tells me her favourite pieces include the oversized Louis Vuitton scarf with the Grand Prix print! A perfect pairing for Louis Vuitton as they recently presented their Cruise collection in Monaco.
Their range of multi use bags including their ANA Clutch made from Vernis leather featuring a detachable strap and internal card slots.
However, the best was saved for last. Straight off the Paris catwalk and exclusively delivered to the Melbourne boutique for the High Tea was this Epi leather chain bag complete with a twist logo closure. Recently spotted on Miranda Kerr and Beyonce.
If you are not a classic monogram lover you will be pleased. The new creative director of Louis Vuitton Nicolas Ghesquiere, has reimagined the brand and made it his own, it’s great to see an established label enter a new phase.
What do you think of the new collection?
