Our friends and family still comment on how much they enjoyed our wedding venue. I’m proud of the fact that we were able to achieve such an incredible event at such an unbelievable place while still keeping well within our conservative budget – thanks to some of my wedding money saving tips here.
Before discovering Campbell Point House I contacted over 12 other wedding venues mostly in Melbourne such as:
- Red Scooter
- White House in St Kilda Road
- Botanic Gardens
- Rippon Lea
- Brighton Savoy
- Quat Quatta
- Werribee Mansion
- W (in Bali)
- Bvlgari (in Bali)
Most of the venues above offered a limited time of use, i.e., only 5 hours for a wedding. Considering the amount of money and time invested in a wedding, we wanted to prolong the experience as long as possible. Being able to enjoy a long celebration meant our wedding day passed pretty slow, and I was able to enjoy every moment of it. Something I know a lot of you would appreciate, especially if you are like me and want to stretch your venue hire for as long as possible.
I started searching for Luxury Estates for Hire after feeling dissatisfied with the venues above. The idea of hiring an entire estate for a wedding was different, and I was hoping it would be a better option. I also thought because this option was not as popular as the venues above market themselves to be, it would also be a cheaper option.
This is how I found Campbell Point House, a private luxury estate overlooking the water located on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria – about 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne CBD. This opulent guesthouse is available to hire for private and intimate events with no more than 100 guests.
I loved the idea of being able to hire a venue like this not just for 5 hours but 24 hours. Campbell Point House offered the most beautiful and romantic backdrop to our wedding. Despite it raining on the day, we enjoyed being able to entertain our guests in this luxurious waterfront mansion. It would have been nice to explore the surrounding gardens, but it was still just as lovely being indoors. With its grand staircase, high ceilings, marble, and antique wood décor this venue did not disappoint and to be honest you couldn’t compare it to the venues mentioned above, particularly as it was priced lower than most of the sites I had visited.
Highlights of Campbell Point House include:
- It features its private pool house and tennis courts
- The main house can accommodate 12 adults in 6 large bedrooms including a master bedroom that is bigger than my apartment!
- The house is surrounded by well kept sculptured garden beds and large green lawns
- Exceptional décor decorate the large spaces for everyone to wonder around and enjoy
- Provides the perfect backdrop for photos inside and outside the mansion
- The décor leaves you feeling with a cosy and warm experience
- Their gorgeous staff who are willing to support and help out with all aspects of a wedding
